Introduction The PMI image format created by Saje Entertainment is meant to provide a friendlier and quality-superior way of storing images. Images in the PMI format have 225 pixels for each pixel in another format, such as a JPEG. This means that sharpness and quality are greatly increased. Comment embedding is also made possible with this format so as to provide a description of the image within the file itself. PMI images are generally quite large in file size. Images in the PMI format have a gigantically larger amount of data, due to the increase in definition, thus giving the file a large size. A compression utility can be used with these images, and file size will be greatly reduced (i.e. A 21MB PMI image compresses down to about 460KB...a dramatic decrease). 2.
